It is found that there are certain objects in space called BLACK HOLES by the scientists.
- WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS "BLACK HOLE"?
A black hole is a region of space from which nothing, not even LIGHT, can escape. It is the result of the deformation of spacetime caused by a very compact mass. Around a black hole there is an undetectable surface which marks the point of no return. This surface is called an event horizon. It is called "black" because it absorbs all the light that hits it, reflecting nothing, just like a perfect black body in thermodynamics. Quantum mechanics predicts that black holes also emit radiation like a black body with a finite temperature. This temperature decreases with the mass of the black hole, making it difficult to observe this radiation for black holes of stellar mass.
Despite its invisible interior, a black hole can be observed through its interaction with other matter. A black hole can be inferred by tracking the movement of a group of stars that orbit a region in space. Alternatively, when gas falls into a stellar black hole from a companion star, the gas spirals inward, heating to very high temperatures and emitting large amounts of radiation that can be detected from earthbound and Earth-orbiting telescopes.

- HOW IS A "BLACK HOLE" FORMED?
NEUTRON STARS and BLACK HOLES form from the stellar cores that remain after stars have exploded as supernovae. If the remaining core is greater than about three ^solar masses , it contracts to form a BLACK HOLE.

- CAN WE SEE "BLACK HOLE" ?
Black Holes are characterized by such strong gravity that even light cannot escape as a result black holes are INVISIBLE. However , they may be detected if they have close companion star.

This knowledge about the existence and function of black holes became prevalent in the 20th century by the discovery of General Relativity and other such laws. But God mentions about such object more 1400 years ago.
God says in the Qur'an :
“ So I swear by the retreating stars -Those that run [their courses] and disappear [hide]”
~Surah Takwir [81:15-16]
In the above verse Allah (God) is talking about some celestial object which:
Retreats: khunnas1
Run [their courses]: Al-jawar2
Disapper [hide]: kunnas3
The above verse perfectly describes a “Black Hole” which retreat or Move or run their courses in the space and then hide to form a Black Hole which does not even allow light to escape and remains hidden. Moreover, the arabic word "kunnas" translated as Disappear or Hide also means “to sweep”
and this is known to everyone that Black Holes sweep and attract everything in space, Even Light.
As we can see what we have discovered recently was mentioned clearly in The Noble Qur'an more than 1400 years ago. This is one of the sign (miracle) of The Noble Qur'an as God promises in the Noble Qur'an :
We will show them Our Signs in the universe, and in their ownselves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Quran) is the truth. Is it not sufficient in regard to your Lord that He is a Witness over all things?
